“Bagged” Corned Beef Au Natural

Oven cooking bags are especially good for easily cooking a whole corned beef brisket while keeping the meat moist. This one is incredibly simple to make because you don’t need to add anything to the Nations Best® Corned Beef.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Nations Best® Corned Beef (about 8 to 10 lb, raw)

  • 1 cooking / roasting bag

  • Tin foil

  • Roasting pan


Directions

Serves 8

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Put the Nations Best® Corned Beef in a cooking bag without any added water. Close it.

  2. Tin foil the bottom of the roasting pan, to catch any brine drippings that might leak slightly from the bag, and place the sealed bag in the pan.

  3. Bake about 3 hours, until an instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the meat reads 165 degrees F.

  4. Transfer the meat to a cutting board, and slice against the grain. Serve hot or room temperature, and use in recipes for cooked corned beef.
