Pastrami & French Fries Sandwich

Yes, it works. And it’s fun! Nations Best® Pastrami topped with French fries, coleslaw and tomatoes on Italian bread. Bring in the beer and turn on the game.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz frozen French fries

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 12 oz sliced Nations Best® Pastrami

  • 1 loaf Italian bread (about 12 inches long)

  • 4 oz prepared coleslaw

  • 8 slices ripe tomato

  • Salt & freshly-ground black pepper, to taste


Directions

Serves 2

  1. Bake French fries according to package directions. Keep warm.

  2. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the pastrami until browned and crispy, about 8 minutes.

  3. Slice the bread open lengthwise without cutting all the way through it.

  4. Heap the pastrami onto the bottom half of the bread. Top with coleslaw, tomatoes, and then with French fries. Season with salt and pepper. Press the sandwich down slightly and cut it into 4 pieces. Serve immediately.
